Pune Rural Police Raid Unearths Gambling Den Near Kamshet, Seven Persons Arrested

Kamshet, 10th December 2023: In a proactive move against illegal activities, Sub-Divisional Police Officer and Assistant Superintendent of Police Satyasai Karthik of Lonavala Division, Pune Rural, led a successful operation against illegal gambling.

Acting on a tip-off received on December 10 (Sunday), the police received information that individuals were engaged in illegal gambling activities in a locked shed of a house in Mauje Kusgaon, under the Kamshet Police Station jurisdiction.

Under the guidance of ASP Satyasai Karthik, a joint operation was carried out by the Lonavala sub-division team and Kamshet Police Station. The operation targeted a closed shed behind the office of Shashikant Shinde in Mauje Kusgaon. The police discovered seven individuals engaged in three-pani card gambling during the raid.

As a result of the operation, the police seized cash, mobile phones, used vehicles, and other valuables with an estimated worth of Rs 6,36,110. Police Constable Chavan is leading the further investigation at Kamshet Police Station.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal, Additional Superintendent of Police Mitesh Ghatte. The police team included PSI Shubham Chavan and police personnel Ankush Naikude, Raju Lande, Ankush Pawar, Amol Nanvare, and Pawan Doifode.
