Pune Road Rage: Three Arrested in Brutal Pashan Circle Assault on Couple
Pashan, 22nd April 2025: Pune police have arrested three accused—Anil Londhe (49), Raj Londhe (19) of Pashan, and Vinayak Ghag (55)—in connection with the violent road rage attack on a couple near Pashan Circle on April 18, 2025. The incident left the husband, Amaldev PVK Raman, critically injured and admitted to the ICU, while his wife Ketaki Bhujbal sustained multiple injuries and trauma.
According to the FIR registered at Chaturshringi Police Station, the couple was returning home after dinner when two allegedly intoxicated men on an Activa scooter repeatedly blocked their car, provoking Amaldev to honk. This triggered a violent confrontation where the scooter riders, joined by four others, assaulted the couple with stones and sticks, also vandalising their vehicle.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Himmat Jadhav stated that the investigation is ongoing. The accused have been charged under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Maharashtra Police Act. Police continue to search for other suspects involved.
