Pune: Retired Policeman’s Son Murdered On Sinhgad Road, Investigation On

Vadgaon Budruk, 29th September 2023: Vijay Dhume, son of a retired policeman, was brutally stabbed to death near Hotel Dawat and Quality Lodge on Sinhagad Road, today around 7 PM.
Senior police officers from the Sinhagad Road Police Station and Crime Branch were immediately dispatched to the scene. An investigation has been initiated, and CCTV footage from the area is currently under review.
Dhume was known for his friendly relations with many senior police officers and had good rapport with several political figures.
According to initial reports, Dhume was ambushed by four to five assailants as he exited Quality Lodge. Within moments, he was covered in blood, succumbing to his injuries on the spot.
