Pune, 19th June 2024: In the latest police-related recruitment drive in Pune District, including the Pune Police Commissionerate, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC), Pune Rural Police, Pune Railway Police, and Pune Jail Police, a total of 1,481 positions for Police Constables will be filled. A staggering 1,96,811 applications have been received for these positions, meaning that approximately one in 132 applicants will be selected. This recruitment is happening roughly three years after the last round in Maharashtra, which took place in 2021, just after the COVID-19 pandemic. Driven by the dream of wearing the police uniform, youth from across Maharashtra are preparing day and night for this recruitment. The recruitment process across Maharashtra will begin soon, with Pune starting tomorrow (19th June).

Over 20,000 Applicants Vie for 202 Positions in Pune Police Commissionerate

Under the Pune Police Commissionerate, 20,382 aspirants have applied for the 202 constable posts. The recruitment process will take place at Pune Police Headquarters in Shivajinagar. Candidates must attend the recruitment process on their designated date as stated on their online-issued admit cards. Failure to appear on the designated date will result in the loss of their opportunity without exception. Candidates are required to bring two sets of photocopies of their application form, all necessary documents, and five recent photographs. The recruitment process will be conducted transparently, and candidates are warned against fraudulent promises of securing a position. Any such incidents should be reported to vigilance officers, who will take appropriate legal action against offenders.

PCPC Hosts First-Ever Police Recruitment on Synthetic Track

Under the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, 15,042 aspirants have applied for 262 constable posts. The recruitment process will be held at Saint Dnyaneshwar Stadium in Bhosari. Candidates must attend on their designated date as stated on their online-issued admit cards. Failure to appear on the specified date will result in forfeiture of their opportunity without exception. Candidates are required to bring two sets of photocopies of their application form, all necessary documents, and five recent photographs. The recruitment process will be conducted transparently, and candidates are cautioned against falling for fraudulent promises of securing a position. Any such incidents should be reported to vigilance officers, who will take appropriate legal action against offenders.

A notable aspect for aspirants is that the ground at Sant Dnyaneshwar Stadium has a synthetic track. Most police recruitment aspirants prepare physically on normal grounds. Adapting to this synthetic track will be challenging and increases the risk of injuries. However, one advantage is that this track will not be affected by the ongoing rainy season.
