Pune: Property Owners In Pimpri Chinchwad To Get Unique Property Identification Code From PCMC

Pune 20th Sept 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has come up with a unique initiative for the property owners in the municipal limits. The civic body has started assigning Unique Property Identification Code (UPIC) to the properties using which the owners can get all the information related to their property in one click and the same can be used to get various services related to the state or central government.

According to the officials, the municipal corporation is also working on the facility under which the property owners can upload documents related to their properties in a property locker to keep them safe and it will function similar to the digi locker facility. The saved documents in the lockers can easily be accessed from anywhere by the property owners.

The Municipal Corporation is undertaking a survey to find out the new properties, changes and additional construction in the existing properties in the municipal limits. According to the officials, conducting a survey of the properties is one of the few conditions to get the assistance from the 15th Finance Commission. The survey also aims to find the properties for which the tax has not been paid for a long time and the same will be recovered. As a result, this initiative will also increase the revenue of the municipal corporation.
