The International Day of Yoga, observed annually on June 21, serves as a global platform to advocate for the myriad benefits of yoga. To heighten awareness and encourage widespread participation, a 100-day countdown initiative commenced on March 13, culminating in the grand 75th-day countdown event.

Jointly organized by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga and the National Institute of Naturopathy, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, the event epitomizes a collective celebration of yoga’s universal appeal. Participants will engage in the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), designed by experts to harness yoga’s full potential, including pranayama and meditation for enhanced physical and mental well-being.

Support from the Indian Yoga Association’s Maharashtra State Chapter underscores the collaborative effort to promote yoga across diverse communities. The Mass Yoga Demonstrations and sessions, spanning ‘100 days, 100 cities, and 100 organizations,’ epitomize the nationwide campaign leading up to the 10th International Day of Yoga.

As the countdown continues, workshops, lectures, and yoga sessions aim to ignite a collective consciousness towards embracing yoga as a pathway to holistic health and well-being. With each yoga posture and breath, participants symbolize a shared commitment to personal and societal transformation, underscoring yoga’s timeless relevance in fostering harmony and balance in the modern world.
