Pune Pothole Accident: Wrestler Vijay Doifode Suffers Severe Head Injury, Punit Balan Group Comes To Financial Aid
Pune, 11th August 2024: In a heartwarming gesture of support, Pune-based entrepreneur Punit Balan has come forward to assist wrestler Vijay Doifode, who is currently in critical condition following a severe road accident. The ‘Punit Balan Group’ has pledged Rs 5 lakh towards Doifode’s medical expenses and has offered to facilitate his transfer to a better-equipped hospital if needed.
Vijay Doifode, a promising 22-year-old wrestler, has gained recognition for his achievements in various state-level competitions and for representing Maharashtra at the national level. Unfortunately, his career was abruptly halted last week when he was involved in a serious accident near Swargate. While riding his two-wheeler, Doifode struck a pothole, leading to a devastating head injury. He was swiftly admitted to a nearby private hospital, where his condition remains critical.
Faced with mounting medical expenses and limited resources, Doifode’s family and friends reached out for help. Responding promptly, Punit Balan, a well-known philanthropist and head of the ‘Punit Balan Group,’ offered his support. Balan committed Rs 5 lakh to cover Doifode’s medical treatment and also expressed readiness to arrange for his care at a more advanced facility if necessary.
