Pune Porsche Accident: Teen Driver Bail Conditions Include Writing Essay On Accident, Create Traffic Awareness Board

Yerwada, 20th May 2024: A 17-year-old son of a builder, was involved in a fatal accident while driving a Porsche without a registration number plate. The accident occurred around 3 AM on Sunday near Landmark Gardens Society on East Avenue in Kalyani Nagar, resulting in the deaths of a young man and a woman who were on a bike.

The Yerwada police station registered an FIR against the minor and brought him before the court (Juvenile Justice Board) on Sunday. Although his blood sample report for alcohol consumption is still pending, he has been charged with bailable offences under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Motor Vehicle Act.

The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) ordered his release on bail, imposing specific conditions. He has been instructed to work with a constable from the Yerwada traffic branch for two weeks and attend counseling sessions with a psychiatrist. Additionally, the JJB has mandated that he write a 300-word essay on accidents and create traffic awareness boards.
