Shivajinagar, 10th August 2024: Political developments have once again stirred Pune. Senior leader Sharad Pawar is currently at his Modibaug residence in Shivajinagar. This morning, Prahar Janshakti Party chief and Achalpur MLA Omprakash Babarao Kadu, also known as Bacchu Kadu, met with Pawar. Following this, former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sanjay Kakade also met with Pawar in Shivajinagar. These meetings with the Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) chief have raised eyebrows among politicians across Maharashtra.

Sanjay Kakade was accompanied by BJP’s former corporator Shankar Pawar. Amid the speculation, Kakade clarified that his relationship with Sharad Pawar spans over 40 years, and the meeting was due to a work matter involving Shankar Pawar.

Addressing the controversy surrounding these visits, Sanjay Kakade told the media, “I was here for some work related to my friend Shankar. There was no political discussion. Although Bacchu Kadu met with Pawar, he wouldn’t take the risk of joining any party. I came for my friend’s work, and I urge the members of my party to have faith in me. If they don’t, I will address their concerns.”

Earlier in the morning, Bacchu Kadu spoke to the media, stating, “This meeting was planned in advance. There were specific points that needed discussion. Issues concerning farmers, laborers, and the disabled are important. The government has been given time until September 1 to resolve these matters, after which I will make my next decision. That is why I met with Sharad Pawar today. The concerns of the disabled, farmers, and laborers are significant to me, and it is crucial to address them. I am willing to make any decision necessary for that. This alone will determine whom I align with.”
