Pune, 8th April 2024: Praveen Mane, former chairman of Pune Zilla Parishad, senior director of Sonai Group, and a prominent supporter of Sharad Pawar, has recently aligned himself with the Mahayuti alliance. Mane has pledged his allegiance to Sunetra Pawar, the candidate representing Baramati under the Mahayuti alliance. This move is anticipated to bolster the political influence of Ajit Pawar, as Mane’s association adds strength to NCP (Ajit Pawar).

Mane has maintained close ties with Sharad Pawar since the splintering of the NCP and actively participated in campaigns supporting Baramati MP Supriya Sule. Notably, following a meeting led by Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis in Indapur on Friday (5th April), Fadnavis visited Mane at his residence. Fadnavis later remarked that Mane, an old friend, remains committed to the Mahayuti alliance. Mane confirmed his decision to stand by the Mahayuti coalition.

The decision for Praveen Mane to align with the Mahayuti coalition was formally announced during a press conference, where NCP Pune District President Pradeep Garatkar and Mane himself shared the news. The press conference was attended by notable figures including Taluka President Hanumant Kokate, Rajesh Jamdar, Balasaheb Dhavale, and Shashikant Tarange.
