Pune: Political Chaos Erupts as Notorious Goon Gajanan Marne Felicitates Ahmednagar MP Nilesh Lanke
Ahmednagar, 14th June 2024: A political chaos has ensued as notorious goon from Pune, Gajanan aka Gajya Marne, has felicitated the Ahmednagar MP from Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Nilesh Lanke. A video of Lanke being felicitated by Marne went viral on social media, bringing Marne back into the spotlight. Before the Lok Sabha elections, a photo of Ajit Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, meeting Marne also went viral.
Marne is a notorious goon from the Kothrud area, where he is feared. He has a criminal record with multiple crimes, including murder, attempted murder, and extortion, registered against him. The video of Marne felicitating MP Nilesh Lanke has caused chaos in Maharashtra politics. IPS Amitesh Kumar took over the Commissioner of Police post of Pune Police in February. He summoned infamous goons of Pune, including members of the Gajya Marne, Nilesh Ghaiwal, Sachin Pote, and Baba Bodake gangs, to the Police Commissionerate and gave them a stern warning. CP Amitesh Kumar warned them that if they step outside the line or glorify their crimes on social media, strict action will be taken against them.
Following this, Pune Police Commissionerate officials summoned goon Gajya Marne. Following this too, videos of the terror spread by Gajya Marne, Nilesh Ghaiwal, and their gangs in different parts of the city began circulating on social media.
Marne, Ghaiwal And Ahmednagar Connection
Nilesh Ghaiwal was once known as a close associate of Gajya Marne. Both dominated and terrorized the Kothrud area. Tensions arose between Marne and Ghaiwal over ‘domination’ related to killings, woundings, and financial transactions. This animosity led to gang warfare. Ghaiwal was attacked in a gang war, and his accomplices were killed. In retaliation, Ghaiwal killed Sachin Kudale, a member of the Marne gang, by shooting him at Dandekar Bridge. Ghaiwal is originally from Jamkhed in the Ahmednagar district. Over the past few years, he has established a dominant position in the Karjat-Jamkhed area. A discussion has started in criminal circles that Marne played a different trick by felicitating MP Nilesh Lanke to undermine Ghaiwal.
