Pune Police Issues Notice to Bhide Guruji To Prevent Conflicts During Wari Procession
Pune, 1st July 2024: Every year, Shiv Pratishthan Chief Sambhaji Bhide, popularly known as Bhide Guruji, participates in the Palkhi Ceremony of Jagatguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Shrestha Dnyaneshwar Maharaj in Pune. He joins this ceremony with the Dharkari sect. In previous years, there have been incidents of conflicts between the Warkari and Dharkari sects. In response to this, Pune Police has issued a notice to Bhide Guruji.
The Palkhi Ceremony processions have departed from Dehu and Alandi, heading towards Pandharpur. As in previous years, Bhide Guruji will join the procession this year as well.
Pune Police notified Sambhaji Bhide that there should not be any law and order issues during the Palkhi Ceremony due to him. They also advised against making statements that could be controversial and potentially incite conflicts between the Warkari and Dharkari sects.
