Pune: Police Investigate Shooting Near Political Office on Sinhagad Road
Sinhagad Road, 23rd June 2024: An attempted murder incident occurred in the Sinhagad Road area, where a minor narrowly escaped as bullets were fired in his direction. The incident occurred around 7:30 pm yesterday near the Abhiruchi Mall & Multiplex.
According to Sinhagad Road police, two minor children were sitting outside a political office bearer’s public relations office near Abhiruchi Mall when three youths arrived around 7:30 pm. One of the minors was shot at, but he managed to lower his head in time, causing the assailants to miss their target. The minor informed the police that the assailants fled the scene after the failed attempt.
Additional Commissioner of Police (West Region) Pravin Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Sambhaji Kadam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Amol Zende, Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumbhar, and other officers visited the incident site upon receiving information. They provided instructions regarding the ongoing investigation, which is being conducted by Sinhagad Road police.
The authenticity of the firing incident is being investigated by the police.
