Pune Police Identify Drug User in L3 Lounge FC Road: Investigation Underway

Pune, 25th June 2024: In a significant development, Pune Police have made headway in the investigation into drug usage at L3 Lounge located on FC Road. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Gill, Zone 1, confirmed to Punekar News that authorities have identified an individual seen consuming drugs in a viral video. A comprehensive investigation has been launched, with multiple facets being probed to ensure thoroughness.
“We have identified a suspect from the viral video and have deployed our teams for further investigation,” stated DCP Gill. “Blood tests for narcotics have been conducted at a government hospital, and we await the results. Additionally, a meticulous panchnama of the bar area has been completed, with our forensic team diligently collecting evidence,” he added.
Acknowledging the time-consuming nature of chemical analysis, DCP Gill emphasized the urgency in processing results swiftly. “While chemical analysis takes time, we are expediting the process,” he assured.
The police have taken decisive action, booking a total of eight individuals involved in the case, including the facilitator, DJ, organizer, and owners of the lounge. Pune Police Commissioner has taken strict action, suspending four police officials linked to the incident.

DCP Gill affirmed, “There is no involvement of minors in this case thus far.”
The club owner has a history of previous criminal cases.
Meanwhile, the Excise Department has also taken action, suspending two of its officers in connection with the incident.
