Sahakar Nagar, 14th May 2024: A gathering of around 100 to 105 office bearers and workers of Congress leader Ravindra Dhangekar descended upon Sahakar Nagar Police Station between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM on May 12, 2024.

Their purpose? To report alleged money distribution by BJP party members at various locations. Dhangekar is contesting the Pune Lok Sabha seat against BJP’s Murlidhar Mohol.

Seeking police intervention, Dhangekar informed the authorities of these purported activities and urged them to investigate. He emphasized that if the claims were validated, appropriate action should be taken against the accused BJP members.

However, despite the police’s requests to file a formal complaint and provide evidence, the group, without heeding these procedures, congregated unlawfully at the police station. They raised slogans and refused to disperse despite repeated requests from law enforcement.

The situation escalated as the group made loud announcements regarding their party’s activities, inciting disorder at Sahkar Nagar Police Station. Consequently, on May 13, a case was registered against Dangekar and his associates.
