Pune, 2nd August 2024: Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar announced on Thursday that a request will be made to the court for the Porsche accident case in Kalyaninagar to be tried in a fast-track court.

The Yerwada police station has registered additional cases connected to the original Porsche accident, involving the tampering of blood samples of a minor and the destruction of evidence, as well as pressuring the driver to give a false statement. Recently, a 900-page charge sheet was filed in court against seven accused of altering the blood samples of the minor driver and destroying evidence.

The charge sheet, submitted by the Pune Police’s crime branch, includes crucial evidence such as statements from around fifty witnesses, analysis of the accused’s mobile phones, CCTV footage, and a report from the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory.

Police Commissioner Kumar emphasized the importance of a swift trial, stating, “We will soon request the court to expedite these cases to ensure justice is served promptly.”

Around 2.30 am on May 19, a speeding Porsche car driven by a minor hit a motorcycle in Kalyani Nagar resulting in the death of IT professionals Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhiya.
