Pune Police Commissioner Orders Detention Of Notorious Goon For One Year

Yerwada, 31st July 2022: Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta has taken strict action against a notorious criminal from the Yerwada area. He has been sent to Aurangabad Central Jail for one year under the stringent Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act.

Meanwhile, this has been the 73rd action of the Commissioner, and so far 72 criminals who have been roaming in the city have been sent to jail.

According to police officials, the accused Nihal Vishal Bhat (23) is a criminal on the record of the police and serious crimes have been registered against him. Three cases have been registered against him in the last five years. He has been terrorising people and citizens were afraid to openly complain against him.

Therefore, the proposal to take action against him was sent to the police commissioner by the in-charge of Yerwada police station, Senior Police Inspector Balkrishna Kadam, through the DCP (Zone 4) Rohidas Pawar. Action has been taken against him accordingly.
