Pune Police Arrests Accused for Threatening Owner of 3 Musketeers Pub In Viman Nagar
Viman Nagar, 16th April 2023: The Vimantal police has apprehended a man who allegedly threatened the owner of the popular 3 Musketeers Pub in Viman Nagar for extortion.
According to police, the accused, Saqib Sadiq Shaikh (25), who resides in Lane No 1, Karmbhuminagar, Lohegaon, had a previous dispute with the complainant, and a case had already been registered against him at the Viman Nagar Police Station.
To settle the matter and avoid any further trouble with the operation of the pub, the accused demanded Rs 25,000 per month from the complainant through WhatsApp calls and messages. He also threatened to kill the complainant if the payment was not made.
Upon receiving the complaint, a case was registered against Saqib Sadiq Shaikh under IPC Sections 385 and 506 at the Vimantal Police Station.
The investigation team comprising of PSI Rajendra Dhavre, ASI Shewale, Sachin Kadam, Sachin Jadhav, Rupesh Pisal, and Yogesh Thopte, immediately apprehended the accused on the orders of Senior Police Inspector Vilas Sonde.
PSI Rajendra Dhavre is currently in charge of further investigations into the case.
