Pune Police Arrest Notorious Criminal with Two Pistols and Live Ammunition in Hadapsar

Hadapsar, 18th April 2025: Pune Police arrested a wanted criminal, 25-year-old Ajim Mohammad Husain Shaikh, found carrying two pistols and four live rounds near Palakhi Road, Pune. Acting on a tip-off received by Police Constable Nasir Deshmukh, the patrol team led by Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shete surrounded and apprehended the suspect at a narrow lane in Mohammadwadi.
During a search conducted in the presence of witnesses, police recovered firearms and ammunition valued at approximately Rs 81,600 from Shaikh. He has been charged under the Indian Arms Act Section 3(25) and the Maharashtra Police Act Sections 37(1), (3), and 135. The case is registered at Kale Padalpolice station, and further investigation is ongoing under the supervision of Senior Inspector Patil.
