Pune: PMRDA Demolishes Illegal Constructions At Bars In Hinjawadi Following Drug Video

Pune, 25th June 2024: Following the emergence of a viral video showing youths consuming drugs in the bathroom of L3 – Liquid Leisure Lounge, a prominent bar on Pune’s FC Road, authorities swiftly took action. The Pune District Collector immediately directed the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) to compile lists of all illegal clubs and bars under their jurisdiction for the Pune Excise Department.
PMC submitted a list of 92 bars to the Excise Department, while PCMC is yet to comply. Meanwhile, PMRDA identified 22 illegal establishments in Mulshi Taluka, including well-known venues in Hinjawadi.
PMRDA also submitted a list of 22 clubs and bar-like establishments that are violating encroachment and other legal regulations set by PMRDA. This list has been forwarded to the District Collector’s Office and the Pune State Excise Department.
The establishments against which PMRDA has conducted demolition of encroachments include:

3) Marine Drive Resto & Sky Bar (Hinjawadi)
4) Dhems Kitchen & Cabaret (Hinjawadi)
5) Hushh Cafe and Bar (Hinjawadi)
6) Happy Da Punjab Bar & Restaurant (Hinjawadi)
7) Billionaire’s Hub (Hinjawadi)
8) The Community Table (Hinjawadi)
The establishments against which PMRDA has issued notices of encroachments include:
1) JZ Boutique Hotel (Bhugaon)
2) OH Lakeside Bar & Lounge (Bhugaon)
3) Hotel Green Villa (Bhugaon)
4) Cocorico Smoke Bar and Kitchen (Bhugaon)
5) The Royal Lake Banquets & Resort (Bhugaon)
6) Sarovarr Multicuisine Restaurant and Mambo’s Lakeside Cafe (Bhugaon)
7) Thalasso (Bhukum)
8) Chat Bazar Chowpati (Bhukum)
9) Land owned by Amit Mazire in Bhukum
10) Cafe CO2 (Bhukum)
11) Thikana Lakeview (Bhugaon)
12) Land Owned by Vishal Padmakar Choundhe and others.
