Pune : PMPML To Start UPI Payment Service For Passengers From Next Week
Pune 12th Sept 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has decided to move ahead with technology by making the journey of commuters easy by adopting new techniques. In the latest initiative, the transport body has announced to introduce the UPI payment option available for the commuters to make online payments during their journey. According to officials, the service is likely to be introduced in the next week for passengers.
The initiative according to officials will help reduce disputes over change of money during the travel in PMPML buses. Besides, this also will also make payment options easy for the commuters as many have stopped carrying cash since UPI payment option was introduced and it is accepted at the majority of places including street shops.
The conductors have to face issues during the peak hours over change money as the buses are crowded and it becomes difficult to handle things. However, the new initiative is likely to solve this problem. The officials said that the scanners to make online payment will be made available in all PMPML buses in the next week.
