Pune, 19th March 2021: The rising Coronavirus cases in the city have forced the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) administration to reimpose the 50 percent passenger rule for their buses. The administration has given instructions to all depots in this regard.

PMPML bus service resumed in September after the lockdown. The administration allowed the buses to run with only 50 percent seating capacity. However, within a few months, the decision was forgotten by the passengers and the administration. It includes-
– Running the buses with 50% of the seating capacity
– Controller cum checker servants at the station should arrange for passengers to board the next bus if the bus is crowded
– Instructions to stop at a safe distance at the bus stop.
– The stands should be kept in good condition
– The buses should be washed and sanitized etc.
