Pune: PMPML Launches Tourist Bus Service To Khadakwasla Dam, Panshet Dam, Varasgaon Dam

Pune, 21st May 2023: The newly launched tourist bus service, Number 4, by the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has received an overwhelming response from tourists. The service, which commenced today from Pune Station, has witnessed a significant turnout, particularly on Sundays.
The inauguration of Tourist Bus Service No. 4 took place on May 21 with the presence of Satish Gavane, Chief Transport Manager (Operation) of the PMPML, and Chandrakant Varpe, Traffic Planning and Traffic Officer. Sanjay Kusalkar, the manager of Pune Station Depot, was also present on this occasion. The air-conditioned e-bus was flagged off from the Pune Station Bus Station.
Following the success of the Pune Darshan bus service, the PMPML has introduced seven tourist bus routes that cover religious and tourist destinations near Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad cities. The special “tourist bus” service operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays every week, starting from 1st May 2023. The ticket price for this service is set at Rs 500 per passenger.
Tourist Bus Service No. 4 specifically caters to tourists interested in visiting Khadakwasla Dam, Panshet Dam, and Varasgaon Dam. Bookings for this tourist bus service can be made at PMPML bus stands at Deccan, Pune Station, Swargate, Katraj, Hadapsar Gadital, Bhosari, Nigdi, and Manpa Bhawan.
