Pune: PMPML Driver Injured By Hitting Stone On His Head; Allegation Of Assault On BJP Worker And Former Corporator
Pune, 15th March 2023: Shashank Deshmane, a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) driver of Swargate Depot, was severely beaten up at Abhinav College Chowk. A minor accident involving a PMPML bus and a car took place on Wednesday (15th March) morning. A minor argument was going on in the same regard. Due to that argument, driver Deshmane was beaten up. He was seriously injured by hitting a stone on his head.
Reportedly, the car driver is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activist and a former corporator was sitting in the car. PMPML Managing Director Om Prakash Bakoria has taken serious notice of this incident. He has contacted Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr and requested strict action against the culprits.
Driver Deshmane is undergoing first aid at Sassoon Hospital and his condition is stable.
