Pune: PMPML Driver Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Woman Conductor
Pune 8th August 2023: In a shocking incident reported in the city, a woman conductor working with Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has lodged a complaint with city police against a driver for allegedly molesting and following her for the last three months. The police have arrested the accused driver in the case and started further investigation in the matter.
According to police, the accused and complainant both know each other and they work on a PMPML bus. Both are PMPML employees. The accused had proposed her on several occasions in the past and has been following her for over three months. However, since the complainant rejected her proposal all the times he forcibly tried to molest her on August 4, said police.
A case in this regard has been registered at Bundgarden Police Station under relevant sections and the accused driver has been arrested in the case. “The accused was produced before the court and he has been sent to judicial custody” , said police. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
