Pune: PMC To Release Ward-wise Draft Voters List, Suggestions Sought By July 1

Pune, 23rd June 2022: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) election’s ward-wise draft voter’s list will be announced by the Election Branch today. This voter’s list can be changed according to the necessary suggestions by 1st July and the final voter’s list will be announced on 9th July.

After the process of ward formations and ward reservations for the PMC Elections, the Election Branch of Municipal Corporation started working on this voter’s list as informed by the State Election Commission. While forming this list, the Legislative Assembly Election’s voter’s list until 31st May has been considered.

This ward-wise draft voter’s list is available on PMC’s website: www.pmc.gov.in as well as in 15 ward offices in Pune. The Election Branch appealed that the voters should check their names on the voter’s list.

“During the formation of a ward-wise draft voter’s list, including new names in the list, omitting names from the list, etc. tasks are not carried out by the State Election Commission. Hence, those voters who have their names on the Legislative Assembly Election’s voter’s list until 31st May 2022, only those voters can vote in the upcoming election”, said Dr. Yashwant Mane, Deputy Commissioner of the Election Branch.
