In October 2017, 11 villages were included in the municipal expenditure limits and last year 23 villages were included. Locals and political leaders had lodged complaints with the administration regarding water scarcity in the affected villages.

A petition was also filed in the High Court regarding the same. Considering the severe water shortage in the three villages of Sus, Mahalunge and Bavdhan, the water scheme has been planned by the municipal administration.
