Pune: PMC In Action Mode, Junior Engineer Served Notice For Potholes On City Road
Pune 10th August 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has now started taking action against the concerned officials responsible for the potholes on city roads. The civic body has served notice to a junior engineer for potholes on the road in Padmavati area. The officials have said that the action will continue against the other responsible members as well.
Earlier the municipal corporation had instructed the officials to fill the potholes on city roads before August 9. The work gained speed in the last few days as the rainfall activity was also reduced. However, several officials of the civic body have failed to complete the task in given time following which the senior officials have now started taking action against their failure.
The municipal corporation has been criticised a lot as many city roads were filled with potholes. The repair work was also obstructed last month following continuous rainfall reported in the city. However, the civic body instructed the concerned officials to complete the work on priority and a deadline was set. However, since the deadline of August 9 is already over the PMC has now started taking action against the concerned officials.
