Pune: PMC Hammer Falls on Unauthorized Restaurants and Pubs in Kothrud

Kothrud, 27th May 2024: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has intensified its crackdown on unauthorized constructions atop rooftop hotels, pubs, bars, and restaurants across the city. On Monday, the municipal administration took decisive action against several establishments in the Kothrud area, including Nakshatra Resto Bar, Spice Garden, Tasty Bestie, and Coriander Leaf.

Following a recent accident in Kalyaninagar, the PMC’s Building Permission Department has ramped up efforts to dismantle illegal rooftop structures. As part of this initiative, unauthorized constructions at various pubs, bars, and restaurants in Kothrud were demolished. The operation cleared approximately 1,500 square feet of illegal structures.

The demolition drive was carried out under the supervision of Superintending Engineer Rajesh Bankar and Executive Engineer Bipin Shinde. The team, including Deputy Engineer Shrikant Gaikwad, Junior Engineers Manoj Kumar Mate, Sagar Shinde, Rahul Rasale, Sameer Gadai, and Assistant Ganesh Thombre, led the action.
