Pune: PMC Demolishes Unauthorized Constructions In Kharadi

Kharadi, 2nd June 2024: The Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) building permission department undertook a significant operation against unauthorized construction at Survey No. 3 in the Patil Buwanagar area of Kharad on Saturday. In this operation, an area of 15,000 square feet was cleared. The PMC has announced further actions against unauthorized constructions in the Kharadi area, set to continue on Monday.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintending Engineer Sridhar Yevlekar and Executive Engineer Ajit Surve. A dedicated team, including Junior Engineers Rajendra Funde and Mangesh Gaikwad, Architect Yogesh Gurav, and Tulip Engineer Girish Karale, executed the action with the assistance of two JCBs, three breakers, one gas cutter, and ten labourers.

 

A police force was deployed to ensure the operation proceeded without incident. The PMC has urged citizens to refrain from purchasing houses in unauthorized constructions to avoid legal and financial complications.

 

Further similar activities are planned as part of the ongoing efforts to curb unauthorized constructions in Pune.
