Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Seize Over 10 kg of Ganja, Arrest Two in Dapodi Drug Bust

Dapodi, 4th July 2024: Pimpri Chinchwad Police have arrested two individuals for selling ganja (marijuana) and seized more than 10 kilograms of the drug, valued at over Rs 10 lakh. This action took place on Tuesday, 2nd July, in Dapodi.

Police Constable Prabhakar Khade reported the incident to Bhosari Police Station. The police arrested Sachin Yadav Adagale (35, resident of Dapodi) and Sohail Bablu Qureshi (22, resident of Dapodi), while Feroz Dilawar Shaikh is currently absconding. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985.

According to police reports, Bhosari police arrested Sachin Adagale in Siddharth Nagar, Dapodi, based on information from a confidential source that he intended to sell ganja. They seized 90 grams of ganja worth Rs 9,500 from him. Sachin revealed that he obtained the ganja from Feroz Shaikh and Sohail Qureshi. Following this, the police raided the residences of Feroz and Sohail, confiscating 10 kg and 400 grams of ganja worth Rs 10,20,000. Police Sub Inspector Jonapalle from Bhosari Police Station is conducting further investigations into the matter.
