Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Nab Two Women For Selling Ganja In Bhosari
Bhosari, 3rd May 2024: An FIR has been registered against two women in Pimpri Chinchwad for selling Ganja (Marijuana). More than Rs 75,000 worth of Ganja (Marijuana) has been seized in this operation. The incident occurred in Landge Nagar on Pune Nashik Highway in Bhosari on Wednesday, May 1st, at around 6:15 PM.
Police Constable Prabhakar Hanumant Khade filed a complaint at the Bhosari Police Station regarding this matter. A case has been registered against two women. One of them, whose full identity is not known, has not been arrested yet, while a 50-year-old woman from Moigaon, a native of Ganegaon, Shirur, has been arrested.
According to police reports, they received information from a confidential source about a woman coming to sell Ganja on Pune Nashik Highway in Landge Nagar, Bhosari. The police set up a trap and apprehended the accused. Ganja worth Rs 78,100, weighing 1 kg 572 grams, was confiscated from her. She stated that she obtained this Ganja from another woman.
Bhosari police have registered a case against the two women under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Police Sub Inspector Gurav from Bhosari Police Station is further investigating this matter.
