Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Arrest Four, Recover Six Stolen Two-Wheelers Worth Rs 2.4 Lakhs

Dehu Road, 5th July 2024: Pimpri Chinchwad Police apprehended four individuals, including three minors, in possession of six stolen two-wheelers valued at Rs 2.4 lakhs. The arrests took place in Dehu Gaon, where Rohit Vishal Sakte (22 years old) and the minors were detained by Dehu Road Police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Bapu Bangar disclosed that the police acted on intelligence regarding a group planning to sell stolen motorcycles in Dehu Gaon. Police intercepted the suspects upon their arrival on two motorcycles and found that all vehicles were reported stolen. Rohit Sakte was arrested during the operation, and subsequent interrogations led to the admission of involvement in four additional bike thefts.

The recovered motorcycles are part of cases registered across Dehu Road, Chikhali, Mahalunge MIDC, Bhosari, Khadki, and Chatushrungi Police Stations.

The operation was overseen by Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Bapu Bangar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Dehu Road Division) DK Gheware, and Senior Police Inspector Vijay Waghmare. The team included Police Sub-Inspector Ajay Kumar Rathod and several dedicated police constables.
