Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Organizes Month-Long Sports Competitions From November 15, Covering 49 Sports
Pimpri, 10th November 2022: A government district-level sports competition has been organized in association with Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Pune District Zone Sports Committee. These competitions will be held on various grounds, swimming pools, sports complexes, and schools in the city from November 15 to December 17, 2022.
Commissioner Shekhar Singh of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation gave information regarding this. These competitions will be held for boys and girls in the age groups of 14, 17 and 19. About 49 sports are included in these sports events.
Mainly sports like Cricket, Table Tennis, Chess, Football, Karate, Fencing, Kick Boxing, Basketball, Yoga, Rifle Shooting, Boxing, Kho Kho, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Skating, Swimming, Rowing, Carrom, Weight Lifting, Netball, Martial Arts, school hockey, cycling, softball, ball badminton, taekwondo, baseball, rugby, wrestling- freestyle, judo, kabaddi, soft tennis, roll ball, and archery, etc are included in the competition.
These competitions will be held at Marutrao Landge International Wrestling Training Centre, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Sports Complex, Dr Hedgewar Sports Complex, SNBP International School, Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium, Sanjay Kale Ground, and Dnyan Prabodhini Navnagar Vidyalaya, etc.
