Pune, 11th July 2023: The construction work on the pedestrian subway in the vicinity of Kasba Peth metro station has commenced. As a result, the road connecting Kamla Nehru Hospital and Pawle Chowk will be temporarily closed for all vehicles except two-wheelers. The traffic police has urged motorists to utilize alternative routes during this period.

The pedestrian subway is being constructed from Saattoti Chowk in Kasba Peth to Budhwar Peth Metro Station. Therefore, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and heavy vehicles traveling to Kamla Nehru Hospital from Pawle Chowk will be prohibited temporarily.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vijayakumar Magar, has appealed to motorists, excluding those on two-wheelers, to seek alternative routes.

Here are the suggested alternative routes:
Motorists traveling to Kamla Nehru Hospital from Pawle Chowk should take Puneshwar Road via Kumbharves Chowk. From there, proceed to Kamla Nehru Hospital through Kasba Peth Ward Office.
Motorists traveling from Pawle Chowk to Pune Station should take the road near Kasba Peth Police Chowky via Manik Chowk and Phadke Houd Chowk to reach their destination.
For motorists heading from Kamla Nehru Hospital towards Pawle Chowk, they should make a left turn at the Chowk near Kamla Nehru Hospital. Then, take Maharana Pratap Road, Devjibaba Chowk, and Ganesh Road to reach the desired destination.

From Kamla Nehru Hospital, motorists should take a right turn via Kasba Peth Ward Office and proceed on Santaji Ghorpade Road from Kumbharves Chowk to reach their intended destination.
