Pune: PCMC to Award 22 Students of Bopkhel School Rs 7.75 Lakh for Securing Over 80% Marks in SSC Exams
Bopkhel, 29th May 2024: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Secondary School Bopkhel has achieved outstanding results in the SSC board exams held in March 2024. Out of a total of 43 students who appeared for the exams, an impressive 22 students have secured more than 80% marks. Sanika Chaudhary, a student of the school, has emerged as the topper with an impressive score of 91.80%.
The top-performing students will be rewarded by the PCMC. Sanika will receive a prize of one lakh rupees, while six other students will receive Rs. 50,000 each, and fifteen students will be awarded Rs. 25,000 each. This tradition of recognizing academic excellence has motivated students to strive for excellence, resulting in cumulative prize money of Rs. 17 lakhs 50 thousand over the years.
Apart from academic achievements, students of the school have also excelled in extracurricular activities such as sports, painting, and vocational education, winning accolades at the departmental level.
Sanika’s success story is particularly inspiring. Despite facing financial constraints, she remained dedicated to her studies, diligently putting in four hours of study daily, supplemented by solving practice papers provided by the school. Her remarkable achievement is a testament to her hard work and the guidance provided by the school teachers.
The school administration, under the leadership of Principal Adinath Karad, played a pivotal role in facilitating the success of its students. Narendra Sontakke, the school supervisor, efficiently managed the examination process and maintained communication with parents and students. Sunita Palve, the head of the sports department, contributed to the holistic development of students by promoting mental well-being through various sports activities.
PCMC’s Secondary Education Department was recognized for its excellence in education, with Secondary School Bopkhel receiving the prestigious first prize.
