Pune: PCMC And Pimpri Chinchwad Police Join Hands To Provide Online Permissions To Ganesh Mandals, Know Details
Pune 11th Sept 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has introduced an online system for the ganesh mandals to take permission to install pandals for the upcoming Ganeshotsava festival. The initiative aims to make the process easy for the representatives of ganesh mandals as they otherwise have to visit the municipal corporation and local police stations to get the permission. The online permission system has been developed by the Information and Technology Department of the Municipal Corporation, said officials.
The ganesh mandals can make online applications to the municipal corporation and police seeking permission to install the pandals. The officials have connected both portals for the convenience of the citizens and the ganesh mandals will get the permission confirmation through online mode only. The citizens can follow below steps to apply online.
Process for permission Municipal Corporation :
* The Ganesh Mandals will first need to visit www.pcmcindia.gov.in and click on Ganeshotsava 2023 link and fill details to register
* They will need to use the mobile number of the president of respective ganesh mandal to get OTP
* After filling the details of local ward office and election ward the applications will be received by the local ward office of the Municipal Corporation
* The local ward offices will then forward the applications to Building and Encroachment Department online and the concerned departments will revert the ward offices with the No Objection Certificate (NOC). The ganesh mandals will have to install the mandal according to the size mentioned in their applications and they can track the application status online
* The permission given by the Municipal Corporation will also be visible to the Pimpri Chinchwad Police to verify the details
Process for permission from Pimpri Chinchwad Police
* Representatives of Ganesh Mandals can make online applications on the police website
* The applicants will have to submit details and upload photographs of the president, secretary and treasurer. The mobile numbers of the ganesh mandal members will be verified using the OTP
* The applicants should select the local police station so that the applications will reach them and then local traffic police for the necessary permissions
* The permission for using loudspeakers will also be provided online
* The ganesh mandals will also have to submit the details about immersion procession and other details about the immersion plans
* The applicants will also have to submit the details of immersion points where they will immerse the idols
* The applications will also be shared with the municipal councils and gram panchayats online since the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad Police also covers area outside the Municipal Corporation
