Pune PCDA (O) Celebrates 75th Independence Day
Pune, 17th August 2021: Office of Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) observed and celebrated the grand eve of India’s Independence Day with great gusto, fervour and festive spirit and mood in its office located near Golibar Maidan in Camp.
The event was organized and conducted in two phases viz. first one on 13th August from 3.00 to 6.00 pm and other on the 15th August 2021 under the supervision, guidance and superintendence of Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA(O) Pune from 09.00 am to 1.00 pm. This was done to avoid large gatherings i.e. to avoid mass contact following the COVID protocols and observe appropriate COVID 19 behaviour to prevent curb, curtail and contain the spread of the draconian Pandemic which is still showing & exhibiting its ugly showing and further presence in Pune city more than thousand cases per day despite a national low.
Hence, two part celebrations were observed. On 13th August, ‘Azadi Ke Amrit Utsav की पूर्व बेला पर’ in the auditorium of office of PCDA (O) Pune. All those Officers and Staff who had performed their duties sincerely and honestly against all odds despite the hard harsh trying and testing time of onslaught of 2nd wave were awarded with Certificates of Appreciation and Commendation letter to acknowledge their services as “Financial Warriors” who stood the ground and steadfastly done their job of disbursing Salaries and Allowances to all 53000 Army Officers all across the nation as well as paying their Pensionary Terminal benefits/DSOP & 30,000 cases of LTC Cash in lieu package in record time 15 days.
On this occasion Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA (O) Pune has distributed and commended their efforts of their devotion dedication and commitment to their service of highest class and to proven order. He was accompanied and associated by all his Wing Officers viz. Shri Lehana Singh, IDAS, Dy.CDA, Smt. M.M. Ingalgaonkar, IDAS, ACDA, Shri M. S. Joshi, IDAS, ACDA, Smt. Arati Ray Chaudhuri, IDAS, ACDA and Shri T Satish Kumar, IDAS, ACDA, during prize distribution and award giving ceremony.
Inaugural address was given by Shri Lehana Singh, IDAS Dy. CDA followed by prize distribution award ceremony to all the selected decorated officers/staff for their yeomen service in extreme time of distress of 2nd wave of COVID 19 Pandemic. Dr. R. S. Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA(O) Pune Chief Guest in his keynote address placed his humble tribute to all the Martyrs who had played a pivotal role in India’s Independence and gave their life. He also conveyed his sincere tribute to the COVID Warriors who sacrificed their life for redemption of the nation from COVID-19 Pandemic. Small but beautiful cultural evening was followed which fully entertained and enthralled the audience with Bolly tunes from the local Officers / Staff of Office of PCDA(O) Pune. Patriotic fever was reverberating all across with their heart warming performance which earned applause from all quarters of the Auditorium.
On 15th August, 2021 the day began with flag hoisting of Tricolour at 09.00 AM was done by Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA (O) Pune followed by National Anthem Jana Gana Mana ….then a special tree plantation drive was arranged successfully in the प्रांगण of Office by all the IDAS Officers (including the PCDA(O) Pune).
After this mementoes to recognized the efforts and services of the officers during second wave of COVID-19 Pandemic was given to all IDAS Officers viz. Shri Lehana Singh, IDAS, Dy.CDA, Smt. M.M. Ingalgaonkar, IDAS, ACDA, Shri M. S. Joshi, IDAS, ACDA, Smt. Arati Ray Chaudhuri, IDAS, ACDA and Shri T Satish Kumar, IDAS, ACDA.
Interestingly, the main function was observed in Open air under the two tents with blue sky around, which was kind and merciful in not busting into a downpour thus helping the programme to culminate smoothly. Then मलयार्पन was done on Chhatrapati Shivaji statute located in the garden of Office and Cash awards were distributed to 18 Group ‘C’ Staff with a Certificate of Appreciation.
SPARSH was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS,ndc, PCDA(O) Pune to aid assist and expedite defence pensioners in getting their pension in time and correctly. It is a Service Center facility.
At last, after the Chief Guest’s keynote address the 75th Independence programme ended with vote of thanks given by Shri T Satish Kumar, IDAS, ACDA.
