Pune: Parents Rush to Police Station After Three Children Go Missing; Police Locate Them in Camp Area
Loni Kalbhor, 16th April 2023: Terrified parents rushed to the police station after their three children went missing from their home simultaneously. The Loni Kalbhor police sprang into action and found the children within a few hours. The mother was angry with the children, and that’s why they ran away from home. The police found the children in the Camp area, which was a huge relief.
The family in question resides in Angrevasti in Kadamwakavasti area. The couple lodged a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station around 1 am. The woman works as a beggar in the Camp, and her husband works as a porter. They have four children, including a 9-year-old daughter, a 6-year-old daughter, a 5-year-old son, and a 2-and-a-half-year-old son.
On April 16, around 7 to 7:30 in the evening, the woman locked the children in the room and went to the toilet, which is located a short distance from their house. Upon returning from the toilet, she found her two-and-a-half-year-old son crying and noticed that his three siblings were missing. The woman searched for the children but could not find them. After informing her husband, they went to the police station around 1 am.
Police sub-inspector Pramod Hambir immediately visited the family’s home and started an investigation. Crime Inspector Ashok Kale also joined the investigation. They checked the surrounding CCTV footage but could not find any clues.
Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Dattatray Chavan, sub-inspector Hambir and his team searched the Camp area and found the children at Qureshi Masjid. Upon questioning the elder daughter, she revealed that she had taken her siblings to Pulgate by bus as their mother was beating them.
The police found the children within a few hours and handed them over to their parents. The parents thanked the police for their swift action in locating their children.
