Pune: One-Sided Love Takes Disturbing Turn as Cake Delivery Ends in Violence
Kondhwa, 26th August 2023: A cake sent by a courier to a young woman as an expression of one-sided love took a distressing turn when she declined the gesture, resulting in an unsettling incident at a residence in the Kondhwa area of Pune. The individual responsible for the incident has been identified as Ankit Singh, aged 31, residing in Keshavnagar.
According to the police report, Ankit Singh and the young woman had been acquaintances since May 2022. However, when Ankit’s attempts to establish a closer relationship became persistent, the young woman took the step of blocking his mobile number. Undeterred, Ankit Singh attempted various means to regain contact.
The situation took a worrisome turn as the young woman’s birthday approached on August 24. Ankit Singh sent a cake via courier to commemorate the occasion. Unfortunately, the security personnel at the residential complex prevented the courier from entering the premises. This setback prompted Ankit Singh to personally intervene. He arrived at the location, causing a disturbance, and eventually managed to access the young woman’s residence, where he presented the cake.
The situation took an unfortunate downturn when the young woman declined the cake, resulting in an altercation during which she was subjected to physical harm.
Upon receiving a formal complaint regarding the incident,police promptly initiated actions. A case has been registered against Ankit Singh, and a thorough investigation into the matter is currently underway. “We are committed to ensuring a swift and thorough investigation into this incident,” stated a police official.
