Pune: Obstruction On 205 DP Road Forcefully Removed, Citizens Can Now Use Parallel Porwal Road
Lohegaon, 8th April 2023: In a significant development, the compound wall obstructing 205 DP Road has been forcefully removed. The parallel road to Porwal Road is now open for citizens to use, although the road’s current condition is poor. MLA Sunil Tingre has requested citizens to exercise caution while driving or riding on the road until it is properly asphalted.
Tingre has also informed citizens that the Additional Municipal Commissioner has committed to asphalt the road within 15 days. Until then, he has urged residents of Porwal Road to be extra vigilant while using the road.
Citizens have been facing daily traffic congestion due to the obstruction caused by the wall. The wall’s removal has opened up the road for a smooth flow of traffic, bringing a sense of relief to the community. However, the poor condition of the road remains a challenge, and citizens are advised to exercise caution.
Lohegaon Residents Welfare Association (LRWA) members have expressed their gratitude to Tingre for his contribution and commitment to the development of the area. They have been working with PMC officials and various social activists to address the road issue.
Residents of Porwal Road hope that the opening of DP Road will reduce traffic congestion in their area. However, they also fear that traffic may increase at Dhanori Jakatnaka chowk and Kalwad road, as there is no other alternative road. They have urged MLA Tingre and PMC authorities to consider this issue and take necessary steps to address it.
