Pune: New Railway Flyover At Manjari To Ease Traffic Congestion, Minister Reviews Construction Site

Manjari, 28th April 2023: The Minister for Public Works, Ravindra Chavan, has instructed officials to expedite the completion of the remaining work on the new railway flyover at Manjari, Pune.

During his inspection of the flyover construction site, the Minister noted that 90% of the work has been completed, and urged officials to speed up the land acquisition process for the remaining work to be completed. He also emphasized the importance of this flyover in reducing traffic congestion and improving communication in the area.

The new railway flyover at Manjari, constructed by the Public Works Department, has a total length of 350 meters and features 14 piers of 25 meters length. The project also includes ramps of 149.5 meters on the Hadapsar side and 174.955 meters on the Manjari side. The Minister stressed that the completion of service roads and the resolution of other issues should also be prioritized.

Former MLA Yogesh Tilekar was also present at the inspection, along with officials including the Chief Engineer of Pune Regional Division, Bappa Bahir, Superintending Engineer of Pune Division, Amol Pawar, Executive Engineer of Public Works (South) Division, Shivraj Ghule, and Sarpanch of Manjari village, Shivraj Ghule.
