Khadakwasla, 12th December 2023: In celebration of its illustrious 75-year legacy, the National Defence Academy (NDA) is organizing a series of events that embody its pivotal role in molding the future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.

Aligned with the overarching theme of “Forging Joint Military Leadership,” the NDA has successfully executed an aerial expedition. This expedition involves X-Country flying on Super Dimona aircraft by both cadets and officers of the academy, reaching three pre-commissioning training academies. The Indian Military Academy (IMA) and the Air Force Academy (AFA) legs have already been accomplished with commendable success.

On December 6, 2023, two Super Dimona aircraft, integral to the training of future Indian Air Force pilots at NDA, embarked on a cross-country flying expedition to the Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala. Spanning three days, the expedition covered a total distance of 2000 kilometers, navigating through significant locations such as Kolhapur, Goa, Mangalore, and Kannur, ultimately culminating at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

This initiative not only commemorates NDA’s rich history of sculpting military leaders over 75 years but also underscores the pivotal role of jointmanship in shaping the future of the Indian Armed Forces. The National Defence Academy remains steadfast in its commitment to its mission of training and nurturing leaders who will continue to serve the nation with honor and distinction.
