Pune: NCC Cadets of Abeda Inamdar Senior College Clean Mula Mutha River
Pune, 8th December 2022: DG NCC India, Cadets of Abeda Inamdar Senior College, Maharashtra Signal Company, and the National Cadet Corps took part in an initiative to clean the river bank of Mula Mutha River. 27 cadets and the CTO, Dr Yaseen Ismail Shaikh, took part in this cause. Under the guidance of
DR P. A. Inamdar, President of MCE Society, and Dr Shaila Bootwala, Principal of Abeda Inamdar Senior College, this event was carried forward. Lt Colonel Pravaal, The Officer Commanding, Maharashtra Signal Company, NCC, praised the Cadets and their effort towards a social cause.
“We must remember that most of the estimates around plastic pollution are an extrapolation of little primary data. There is bound to be a large variance in the actual plastic numbers being discarded and finding their way into rivers and waterways. The situation is grim, no doubt,” Dr Yaseen said.
