Pune: Navale Medical College Students Demands Justice For Kolkata Rape And Murder Case

Pune, 15th August 2024: In response to the tragic rape and murder of a 31-year-old female trainee doctor at Kolkata’s R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, students and interns at Smt. Kashibai Navale College organized a silent protest on Wednesday night.
Junior doctors, interns, and undergraduate students came together to demand swift justice for the victim, whose brutal assault and death have sparked nationwide outrage. The incident occurred on August 9 when the doctor’s body was discovered semi-nude in a seminar hall after she had been on duty the previous night.
The lack of adequate rest spaces in the hospital led her to rest in the seminar hall, where the horrific crime took place. The protesters expressed their solidarity with the victim and called for immediate action from authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
