Pune: Nandanik Sanstha To Celebrate Milestone Durga Puja At Rohi Villa In Koregaon Park From Oct 20-24
Koregaon Park, 18th October 2023: Nandanik Sanstha is set to commemorate its 20th annual Durga Puja celebrations from October 20 to October 24 at Rohi Villa, Koregaon Park. The five-day event will kick off with the Mahashashti Puja and culminate in Sindoor Khela and Visarjan on Dussehra. Daily rituals like Pushpanjali and Sandhya Aarti are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.
Gautam Banerjee, President of Nandanik Sanstha, highlighted the significance of the milestone year, saying, “Two decades of Durga Puja celebrations have not just been religious events but also avenues for community service and fostering local businesses.”
He expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from community members and local authorities in Koregaon Park and thanked Rohi Villa for providing an ideal location for the annual festivity.
In addition to religious ceremonies, the Sanstha has also planned a diverse array of cultural programs. Notable performances include Bengali singer Durnibar Saha, Kathak dancer Prajakta Raj (Atre), and Mumbai-based artists Priyanka Mitra and Sriijiit.
Nandanik Sanstha maintains a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, including a ban on plastic within the event premises and the use of eco-friendly materials for decorations.
In a special segment dedicated to literature enthusiasts, Kolkata Boi Mela Team, under Bengali Book Promotional Services in India [BBPSI], will set up a stall featuring an array of Bengali books, music, and films.
Visitors will have multiple food and shopping options, including Pratap Caterers for traditional Bengali dishes, Rolls Mania for popular rolls, and several other eateries like Barbecue Nation and Pizza Hut. Exclusive Bengali sarees, costume jewelry, and Diwali items will also be available for purchase.
