Pune Municipal Corporation Launches WhatsApp Chatbot For Various Services

Pune, 10th January 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a chatbot on the messaging platform, WhatsApp.
This bot will allow citizens to access various services and information, such as applying for NOC certificates, permits, birth and death certificates and registering complaints via WhatsApp. The bot integrates various existing online services of the PMC into a single interface for convenience. It can be accessed at the phone number 8888251001.
The service began on a limited scale on 7th September 2022, when the services of the income tax department were made available. Now, the PMC is expanding the initiative by providing services from 19 departments through the WhatsApp bot. Citizens can access four different bill payment services, 10 permit applications, and eight different NOCs and obtain information about 30 different government schemes and 19 different municipal departments.
Citizens can text the above-mentioned phone number a ‘Hi’ on WhatsApp to access the service. The bot provides a menu where one can select the information or service one wishes. The bot will be available 24×7 in both Marathi and English.
