Pune: MSEDCL Deploys 175 Personnel to Ensure Smooth Power Supply for Palkhi Celebrations

Pune, 26th June 2024: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has specially appointed 35 engineers and 140 employees to ensure a smooth power supply and security on the routes for the Palkhi celebrations of Sant Shreshta Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj. The PM – Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana will be launched along the Palkhi route under the Pune Zone of MSEDCL.

On the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, the Palkhi ceremonies for Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj will be held from Sunday (30th June) to Tuesday (2nd July) within the jurisdiction of the Bhosari, Pimpri, Rasta Peth, Rajguru Nagar, and Mulshi divisions under the MSEDCL Pune Zone.

Additional transformers and other equipment have been prepared along the palanquin routes and rest stops in these sections. Special measures have been taken for power protection, including the use of mobile transformers at necessary locations. Additionally, services such as drinking water, fruits, and snacks will be provided.

During the Palkhi ceremony, MSEDCL will launch special power protection measures and the PM – Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Information about these initiatives will be disseminated through leaflets, audio-visual documentaries, small-scale exhibitions, dialogues on electricity safety, and demonstrations.

People should remain cautious and alert around electrical installations in public places along the palanquin route or during stops. Maintain a safe distance from electric poles, feeder pillars, DP boxes, and other electrical systems.
