Pune MP Mohol Calls for Immediate Action Against Police and Pub After Youth Drug Use Videos Surface

Shivajinagar, 23rd June 2024: Pune MP Murlidhar Mohol has expressed grave concern over recent videos aired on news channels showing youth consuming drugs.
MP Mohol tweeted, “Videos of some youth consuming drugs have come forward in news channels and this is a very serious matter. In this regard, I spoke to Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and instructions have been given to immediately suspend the inspector in-charge of local police station where this incident took place. Besides, strict action has also been directed against the driver-owner of the concerned hotel. This kind of behavior and the bad name it brings to our Pune will never be tolerated.”
In a related development, the Shivajinagar police station has taken swift action by arresting five individuals after videos emerged showing teenagers consuming alcohol into the early hours at L3 club on FC Road, Pune.
The arrests and MP Mohol’s stern response underline the city’s commitment to maintaining its reputation and cracking down on illegal drug and alcohol consumption.
