Pune: Movement Of Heavy Vehicles Banned Between Wadgaon Bridge And Nanded City During Peak Hours
Pune 23rd Sept 2023: The traffic police department of the Pune City has issued an order to ban movement of heavy vehicles between Wadgaon bridge and Nanded City area during peak hours. The decision was taken after the residents complained of heavy traffic jams on the road.
According to officials, the road will remain closed for heavy vehicles between 8 am to 11 am in the morning and 6 pm to 9 pm in the evening. The movement of heavy vehicles will continue as normal during this period. The road mainly used by residents living around Khadakwasla, Kirkitwadi and adjoining areas witnesses heavy traffic jams during the peak hours. As heavy vehicles travelling towards the rural parts of the district via Khadakwasla also use the road the congestion problem further increases and the traffic officials face tough time in managing the traffic here.
The traffic department has already closed multiple roads across the city to ensure smooth traffic movement during the ganesh festival.
